Branding Iron Care Instructions
To the customer:

Thank you for your purchase! Follow these simple instructions and your branding iron will continue to wow your friends and family for years to come.

Step 1 – Wipe any dirt or excess paint from your new branding iron. You may find that some paint has rubbed off in shipping. This will not harm your iron. The paint is only to protect from moisture until the branding iron is used.
Step 2 - Heat up your branding iron over high heat until the metal is hot. Do not over heat or your new branding iron will burn the oil in the next step.
Step 3 - Spray or wipe a generous amount of vegetable oil on the branding iron with a clean rag or towel. Allow the branding iron to cool and wipe away the excess. (some customers prefer to use olive oil)

Your branding iron is now ready to provide you with many years of fine cooking! Always make sure when you are done cooking, the head of the branding iron is left oily. The oil prevents rust. Also be sure never to clean in the dishwasher.
